A Nite 4 Naija 2025: Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Trumps Oshiomhole, Abaribe Emerges Senator of the Year

In what many observers have described as a refreshing return to merit-based civic recognition, A Nite 4 Naija 2025 is already generating national excitement with the conclusion of its college-patterned election held on Wednesday, 10th December 2025.

The balloting—conducted among a carefully selected electoral college of civic leaders, policy analysts, journalists, youth advocates, and respected public voices—has produced the final list of winners across all categories of the prestigious PVC-Naija Awards.

This year’s biggest spotlight is on Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who convincingly trounced former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, with 7 votes to 3, to clinch the Political Iconic Voice of the People (2025) Award. Her victory underscores her growing national influence as a bold, articulate, and people-centered legislator whose interventions continue to shape public debate and policy direction.

In another tightly contested category, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe clinched the Senator of the Year (2025) Award with 6 votes, edging out Senator Francis Fadahunsi who garnered 4 votes. Abaribe’s consistent courage, legislative independence, and principled defense of democratic accountability continue to inspire public admiration across party and regional lines.

PVC Naija also released the full ballot results as follows:

    Natasha Uduaghan – 7 | Adams Oshiomhole – 3 → Winner: Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan
  3. Change Agent/Citizenship Development Award
    Dr Chijioke Okonkwo – 7 | Isiaka Rabiu – 3 → Winner: Dr Chijioke Okonkwo
  4. Governor of the Year (SEA Index)
    Winner: Umo Eno (10 votes)
  5. Senator of the Year
    Abaribe – 6 | Fadahunsi – 4 → Winner: Enyinnaya Abaribe
  6. House of Representatives Member of the Year
    Winner: Yusuf Gagdi (10 votes)
  7. State Legislator of the Year
    Winner: Aõndona Dajoh (10 votes)
  8. Local Government Chairman of the Year
    Winner: Akinola Idowu (10 votes)
  9. Iconic Advocacy Voice of the Year
    Prof. Omajuwa Igho Natufe – 7 | Verydarkman – 3 → Winner: Prof. Natufe
  10. Chief Steward of the Nation Award
    Abdulaziz Yari – 6 | Ndume – 3 | Tinubu – 1 → Winner: Sen. Yari
  11. Best FCT Minister (From Inception)
    Aliero – 6 | Wike – 4 → Winner: Adamu Aliero
  12. Minister of the Year (2025)
    Winner: Hannatu Musawa (10 votes)
  13. Paramilitary/Agency Head of the Year
    Winner: CG Kemi Nanna Nandap (10 votes)
  14. Creative Award for Patriotism (CAP 2025)
    Winner: Edward Nanpan Dafohot – “Nigeria Restoration” (10 votes)
  15. State House of Assembly Speaker of the Year
    Winner: Gabriel Dewan (10 votes)
  16. National Political Icons of the Decade (2015–2025)
    Obadiah Mailafia – 7 | Peter Obi – 3 → Winner: Obadiah Mailafia
  17. Lifetime Honour – Elder Statesman
    Gen. TY Danjuma (Living) – 7
    Chief Cornelius O. Adebayo (Posthumous) – 7
  18. Impact Assessment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (2025)
    All 10 votes rated the President below expectation.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Citizen Bolaji O. Akinyemi, announced Apostle Dr Wole Oladiyun as Nation Builder of the Year (2025), honouring his 10,000-medical-outreach initiative that provided life-saving surgeries for Nigerians.

As anticipation builds, A Nite 4 Naija 2025 promises to be a grand celebration of courage, excellence, character, and nation-building—anchored on this year’s inspiring theme: “Reawakening the Nigerian Spirit.”
