ACAON Holds 2026 AGM, Inaugurates Five BOT Members and New National, Zonal, and State Executives

The Anti-Corruption Awareness Organization, Nigeria (ACAON), successfully held its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) between January 29 and 31, culminating in the emergence and inauguration of new Board of Trustees (BOT) members, national, zonal, and state executives.

The three-day AGM, which also featured induction, orientation, and intensive training for ACAON officers nationwide, commenced with the arrival of delegates from all states of the federation at Ayabot Hotel, Ikoga/Mowo Road, Badagry, Lagos, on January 29, 2026.

The main activities of the AGM took place on January 30, designated as the official “D-Day,” and included the induction of newly elected executives as well as orientation and capacity-building sessions for officers. The event formally concluded on January 31 after preliminary engagements.

During the AGM, a new set of Board of Trustees, Leaders of Thought, Patrons/Advisers, Council Members, and State Directors and Secretaries were appointed and inaugurated. Five distinguished individuals emerged as members of the Board of Trustees.

They include Alhaji (SCPN) Prince Kola Kadewolu Ayinla Adeyemi, Founder and BOT Chairman; Professor (SCPN) Kayode Joseph; Professor Musibau Babatunde Adetunji; Dr. (SCPN) Nnice Duzey; and Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi.

Hon. Dr. SCPN Olaoye Onungbogbo emerged as Chairman of the Leaders of Thought, providing intellectual and strategic guidance to the organization.

The position of ACAON Group Patron was conferred on Chief SCPN Smarte Raheem Ajisafe, while Alhaji Hamza Olayiwola Adejare and Alhaji SCPN Moshood Adesanu were inaugurated as National Patrons and Advisers.

Members of the National Executive Council (NEC) inaugurated at the AGM include Chief SCPN Dandy Olabode as National Secretary; SCPN Danjuma Haruna as National Director of Physical Training; Alhaji SCPN Muhammed Yinusa as South-West Coordinator; Dr. SCPN Chuks Nwanchukwu as South-East

Coordinator; Bishop Dr. Nice Odiase Ahimeh as South-South Coordinator; and SCPN Sunday Adesanya as Director of Media and Publications.

Other NEC members include Dr. SCPN Demian Aniakor, National Director of Finance, and SCPN Danjuma Haruna, Director of Physical Health Training.

At the state level, new directors and secretaries also emerged. SCPN Omotayo Dada was appointed Lagos State Director, with SCPN Ola Emmanuel as State Secretary. In Ogun State, SCPN Majekodunmi Olutunde emerged as Director, assisted by SCPN Ibitoye Adebowale as Secretary.
In Oyo State, Pastor SCPN Kolawole Adepoju was inaugurated as Director, with SCPN Yusuff Ayobami as Secretary. SCPN Kolade Ajisafe emerged as Osun State Director, assisted by SCPN Kazeem Ibiyemi as Secretary.

Dr. SCPN Chris Egharevba was appointed Edo State Director, while Dr. SCPN Aliyu Yusuff emerged as Delta State Director, with SCPN Dr. James serving as Acting Coordinator. In Anambra State, Dr. SCPN Mrs. Rebecca Ndubuese Udeogalanya was appointed Director, with SCPN Hipolite as Secretary.

The AGM also featured an award ceremony recognizing individuals for their outstanding contributions to the growth and sustainability of ACAON. Alhaji Prince Kola Kadewolu Adeyemi received the ACAON Pillars Award, while Dr. Nnice Duzey was honoured with the Visionary Leadership Award.

SCPN Muhammed Yinusa received the ACAON Spirit Award, Pastor SCPN Kolawole Adepoju was presented with the ACAON Advancement Award, and Chief SCPN Smarte Raheem Ajisafe was honoured with the prestigious ACAON Hero Award.

All participants received certificates of participation, marking the successful conclusion of the 2026 ACAON Annual General Meeting.
