
The Governing Board of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has promoted 243 staff. The exercise saw nine Deputy Directors elevated to the position of Director , while 234 other staff members got various grade levels.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Deputy Director/Head of Public Relations Department, Osagie Edward, FNIPR, that the exercise was purely based on merit.
Among the newly appointed Directors are Mrs. Moji Jimoh (Coordinator, Abuja Liaison Office), Dr. Odunayo Ani (Director, Internal Audit), Mrs. Nneka Obianyor (Special Adviser to the DG), Mrs. Biodun Fatade (Director, Procurement), Dr. Oma Ofodile, Ms. Gloria Anyasodo, Mr. Abdulahi Yelwa, Umar Buba, and Mr. Umar Ibrahim Sidi.
“Our administration is committed to improved staff welfare. This promotion exercise is strictly merit-based, and we expect staff to reciprocate by rededicating themselves to higher productivity. We will continue to prioritize staff welfare, while counting on your commitment to the ideals of the Agency in helping Management actualize its mandate,” stated NIMASA’s Director General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola.
Dr. Mobereola congratulated the newly promoted officers, reiterating Management’s commitment to staff welfare and a transparent, merit-based career progression system within NIMASA.
