While stating the purpose of his visit, the Garrison Commander expressed his profound appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him and his delegation.

He noted that the Nigerian Army is saddled with the responsibility of protecting lives and property within Oyo State and emphasized the need for sustained cooperation among security agencies, as no agency can operate in isolation. He reaffirmed the commitment of the 2 Division of the Nigerian Army to continued collaboration and support for the Command in addressing security challenges within the State.

In his response, the Acting Customs Area Controller, Oyo/Osun Area Command, Deputy Comptroller of Customs (DC) Moses Adewole, acknowledged the vital role of the Nigerian Army in safeguarding the nation against external aggression and maintaining internal security.

He assured the Garrison Commander that the Command deeply values the existing relationship and remains committed to strengthening the collaboration for enhanced operational efficiency.

Similarly, on Thursday, 26 February 2026, the Customs Area Controller, accompanied by members of the Command’s Management Team, paid a familiarization visit to the EFCC Zonal Office in Ibadan. In his remarks, DC Moses Adewole commended the Commission for its unwavering efforts in combating corruption and financial crimes in the country.

He further sought to sustain the collaboration with the Commission in the areas of joint operations, intelligence sharing, and capacity-building initiatives.

In her response, the EFCC Zonal Director, Mrs. Hauwa Garba Ringim, appreciated the visit of the Customs Area Controller and his delegation. She noted that a cordial and symbiotic relationship existed between the EFCC and the Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service. She assured the Controller of the Commission’s continued support and collaboration, particularly in the areas of intelligence sharing, joint operations, and enforcement activities.
